Lunch & Learn
The National Civil Rights Museum Lunch & Learn Series is a free public program where guests can feed a hunger for knowledge (and food) during a mid-day break to learn about civil rights history from museum staff or guest speakers. BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch). All lunch and learns will begin at 11:45 am and end at 1:00 pm.

Topic: “Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, ‘Too Little, Too Late?’”
At the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, Tim Huebner, Associate Professor of History at Rhodes College, will talk about the truths and misconceptions of the document. Held in the Freedom’s Sisters Exhibit (115 Huling at Mulberry)
