Redemption chronicles the last 31 hours and 28 minutes of Dr. King’s life, from the time he arrives in Memphis at 10:38 a.m. on April 3,  until he is fatally shot at 6:01 on April 4, 1968. In a larger sense it portrays King’s urgent initiative to revive his non-violent civil rights movement as he embarks on a quest to end poverty in America.
